Probably one of my favorite moments from S7 so far is this convo between Bobby and Dean in 7x02 "Hello, Cruel World." I haven't seen the episode in full yet, but god. I love that Bobby is keeping tabs on the both of them the way he is. The little smiiiiiiles at the end of this clip just break my heart. Those last three seconds, nggh.
I'm an amazing whore for varied forms of communication. Letter-writing and non-verbal top my mountain of eternal love, but phone conversations are a close third. I love what the writers chose to do with these two conversations in 7x05 "Shut Up, Doctor Phil." What would have otherwise been intensely lame matter-of-course, infodump conversations ended up being fun and adorable and seriously, Bobby didn't even need to have actual speaking lines to be awesome here.
Which isn't to say that all of Bobby's phone calls are actually all thanks to Dean/JA. XD But this reminds me of another phone conversation Dean and Bobby had in 5x10 "Abandon All Hope." It's not in S7, sue me, but Jo was involved and Jo was in S7, so there. This is one of my absolute favorite scenes in the entire series. The crushing desolation in this scene is palpable, and yet here Bobby is, trying to keep everyone from falling apart completely.
And then there's Bobby in conversation with himself, outside of the Winchesters and their many and varied crises.

I look forward to seeing what's in store for Mr. Bobby Singer. ♥
