There's the tell-tale crack of someone shooting off a round. Casing tinkling. People shouting, but no one screaming. Sam swears he can hear the sound of old brick as it vaporizes.
Cas is still awaiting an answer.
But Sam's not sure if Cas wants to know if he's bothered by the violence in the world, or the fact that it's happening outside their windows.
"I can stop it," Cas offers, which answers Sam's question. There's only one of these things that Cas can stop.
"I didn't notice it," says Sam.
